SCHOOL SYSTEM UPDATES

Asheville City Schools are looking at a soft target date of 10/28 for reopening of schools. The main challenge right now is access to water. ACS submitted an order for hand washing trailers and portable toilets for all schools on 10/9. Additionally, wells are being drilled at various school sites to try and provide potable water to school facilities. Bus routes may also see revision. ACS is planning on being back and operational before the water systems are repaired. ACS will provide a 72-hour notice before schools start back.
