Buncombe County Official Distribution sites. 


These are the established county sites that will prioritize steady water availability. A one-day supply of bottled water will be available for each individual in a household, with distribution sites operating as drive-through locations, but walk-ups will be accommodated. ALL County sites are now distributing non-potable water for flushing.
Must bring your own container!

City of Asheville Official Distribution Sites:

Food and water distribution locations in Asheville now have non potable water which can be used for flushing toilets. Bring your own container! City of Asheville food and water distribution site locations, open 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.:

  • Pack Square Park, 70 Court Plaza (1pm until dark)
  • Asheville Middle School, 211 S. French Broad Ave
  • Linwood Crump Shiloh Community Center, 121 Shiloh Rd (food and drinking water only)
  • 980 Brevard Road (former K-Mart/current At Home facility) parking lot. This location replaces Lucy Herring Elementary, which closed beginning Oct. 15.
  • Oakley Elementary School, 753 Fairview Rd

Swannanoa Community Care Station

The community care station in Swannanoa at 2319 US Hwy 70 (in the parking lot of Ingles) has opened to the public from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Here, community members can shower, do laundry, use the bathroom, access cell towers and wifi, get potable and non-potable water, get hot meals between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., and access counseling. If you have shower shoes, towels, and toiletries, please bring them with you when you come. If you don’t, no problem, they will be provided for you.

AC Reynolds Community Care Station

1 Rocket Drive, Asheville, NC 28803 – open to the public from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Here, community members can shower, do laundry, use the bathroom, access cell towers and wifi, get potable and non-potable water, get hot meals between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., and access counseling. If you have shower shoes, towels, and toiletries, please bring them with you when you come. If you don’t, no problem, they will be provided for you.

Morgan Hill Baptist Church Community Care Station

 594 Barnardsville Highway. Here, community members can shower, do laundry, use the bathroom, access cell towers and wifi, get potable and non-potable water, get hot meals between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., and access counseling. If you have shower shoes, towels, and toiletries, please bring them with you when you come.

Brevard Road Community Care Station

A new Community Care Station has opened at 980 Brevard Road at the Old Kmart, the new At Home store facility. 7a.m.- 7p.m: Showers (bring your towels and toiletries), laundry, porta-johns, hand washing, charging, Starlink, Red Cross, Novant Medical, food and water distribution.

YMCA of WNC Community Health Mobile Food Markets

With the loss of MANNA’s food distribution center, the YMCA of WNC's Community Health team is working harder than ever to increase local food security. Our next mobile food markets are:

  • -Tuesday, 10/15 Mills River Park, 2-3 p.m.
  • -Wednesday, 10/16 Madison County Cooperative Extension, 2-3 p.m.
  • -Thursday, 10/17 Woodfin Y, 2-3 p.m.
  • -Friday, 10/18 Haywood Pediatrics, 1-2 p.m.

These markets will have fresh produce as well as shelf-stable goods at no cost. In addition, distributions of water and shelf-stable food are happening daily at the Asheville Y, Corpening Memorial Y, and Reuter Y. All are welcome, no questions asked. More markets coming soon.

We’re working with partners to source water, nonperishable food, and healthy produce, but the need is immense. We appreciate all the donations and thank our partners for their collaboration. ASHEVILLE HUBS

Central/Downtown

  • Asheville YMCA The downtown Asheville YMCA is distributing food and essential relief items to the public outdoors from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. WiFi and charging available. This location is accepting donations of water, nonperishable food, and toiletries.
  • Asheville offers free outdoor group exercise classes to the public each day. Vinyasa Yoga on Tuesday and Thursday at 9:45 a.m., Athletic Conditioning on Wednesday and Friday at 8:30 a.m., and Zumba on Tuesday and Thursday (starting next week) from 4-4:45 p.m.
  • Daily 10am-4pm. First Baptist Church (5 Oak St., Asheville, NC 28801).
  • The DSSOLVR taproom and VOWL bar (63 N Lexington Ave) is and will continue to run as a (free) distribution site daily from 10am-5pm. We have and will continue to be restocked on water, food/snacks, hygiene products, baby products, first aid, flashlights, batteries, cleaning products, bags, clothes, shoes, blankets and a whole slew of other things. We will continue to provide this and will be scaling up our food options with periodic hot food offerings from community members. We are expecting drops from members in Charlotte and Charleston for the foreseeable future. If any other sites are in need of more supplies we are also assisting in redistributing.   • ASHEVILLE - 10/6 and ongoing. Mon-Fri 9:00am-2:00pm. Jewish Family Services (JFS) (53 South French Broad Avenue, Suite 100 Asheville, NC 28801, across from United Way)
  • Food, water, and other supplies such as propane, diapers, and feminine products. Please use this resource to meet any needs you may have and invite your friends and neighbors to do so as well. This is open to the whole community. JFS can also receive and distribute supply donations, should you know anyone bringing donated supplies into the area.
  • ASHEVILLE–Global Empowerment Mission Basecamp #2 at Lowe’s 95 Smokey Park Hwy. Giving out water, food and hygiene supplies. @globalempowermentmission on instagram (has been a steady source of supplies for days. Last info from 10/7 suggested this would end 10/8 or 10/9.)
  • ASHEVILLE - Dalton Distillery, 251 Biltmore ave: free clothes and shoes (submitted 10/5)
  • ASHEVILLE - 10/4 and ongoing, every day while supplies last. 1:00-5:00pm. Blackbird Restaurant (47 Biltmore Ave Asheville, NC 28801). Chili & Corn Bread, diapers, wipes, toothpaste, water, soap, first aid products, lotion, feminine products and more.

North (Asheville) HUBS

  • St. Mary's Episcopal Church 337 Charlotte St. Distribution of food, water and other supplies Mon, Wed, and Friday from 1-6pm. Volunteers are appreciated from 11am. Updated 10/15 from their Facebook page.
  • WOODFIN–New Bridge Baptist Church located at 199 Elkwood Ave. continues to serve as the main hub for much of Woodfin, and operates daily: water is available 10 am – 5 pm, and food/ice/and other goods are available from 3-5 pm.
  • West Woodfin Distribution Hub. Victory Baptist Church. 80 Olivette Rd.Noon-6pm, Monday - Saturday. Food and water distribution. Source: Town of Woodfin FB page.
  • Riverside Industrial at 8 Riverside Drive (Cross Streets: Haywood, last street before the French Broad and Haywood Bridge, then immediately on left - there's a sign set up on Haywood).  Hours: 10 am - 3 pm. Ongoing. They have a warehouse, constantly getting trucks of supplies - looks like all the usual, water, food, cleaning supplies, adult diapers etc.  (updated 10/13)
  • WEAVERVILLE– Mule Transport: Mountain Mule Packer Ranch is bringing in mule strings to transport supplies. They will be bringing supplies and also will carry supplies you’ve gathered to areas inaccessible by vehicle. Please contact 910-885-1402 to coordinate.
  • 10/3 Weaverville Community Center (60 Lakeshore Drive, Weaverville) on Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Donations will be accepted from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. (source: County facebook)

South (Asheville) HUBS

  • Reuter Family YMCA The Reuter Family YMCA in Biltmore Park is reopen for members from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. daily. Childcare and the upstairs fitness center will be available. Please bring your own water to drink.
  • The public will continue to have access at Reuter to free showers, gymnasium, and the youth lounge and playground (parental supervision required), as well as charging and WiFi, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
  • Reuter offers two free fitness classes to the public on the outdoor turf each day. Try Tai Chi from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and a standing stretch from 1:30-2:10 p.m.

  • Black Mountain Presbyterian Church at 117 Montreat Rd. numerous supplies to give away- camping supplies, over the counter meds, cleaning supplies, paper goods, personal care items, baby needs. Almost anything you can think of honestly.

West (Asheville) HUBS

  • DC Distro - 10am to 5pm, 375 Haywood Road, Asheville NC 28806. Medic tent for first aid & triage - we can get you what/who you need. We have food, potable & non-potable water, sanitary & OTC med supplies, clothes, baby supplies, batteries, & misc. Accepting donations & distributing within Asheville and other towns. Focusing on Asheville communities with needs still not consistently met. (submitted 10/10)
  • 10 a.m. - 5 pm, Ongoing. Redeemer Anglican. 531 Haywood Rd. They have some clothes, a station of supplies with a tent and do hot meals from Mercy Chefs approx 12 noon and 4:30/5 pm each day.  They supplies inside. If you have any special requests, just ask.   • 10/4 at 11 AM Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 51 Wilburn Pl in West Asheville off of Patton - (also a food, water and supply distribution point). Monday they are expecting a water truck to be able to distribute. (added 10/4)

  • Hendersonville Family YMCA The Hendersonville Family YMCA is now reopen for members from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Normal hours resume tomorrow. Starting with wellness floor and basketball gym only. There will be a non-perishable food distribution from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today, 10/11.
  • Due to the ongoing water issues in the county, the Hendersonville YMCA is open for public showers. No childcare or pool just yet. Stay tuned for updates. Group exercise classes have returned. Visit our mobile app for more details.

  • Corpening Memorial YMCA The Y in Marion is open to the public from 2-6 p.m. daily for showers, WiFi, and charging. This location is also a relief distribution site and emergency shelter. We plan to open for member services on Monday, 10/14.

HAYWOOD COUNTY

  • (10/4 early afternoon) International Sports Complex - 305 Silkwood Dr. Canton.  Not sure their hours. They are a distribution center for supplies.
  • (10/4 early afternoon) -  Pinnacle Church - 415 Fibreville St. Canton. They’re a distribution center and seem pretty organized. They are getting intel on who needs help.
  • Every day. 10am to 2pm. First United Methodist Church Waynesville. 566 S Haywood Street. Showers available. Also available: food, water, toiletries, etc. Local neighborhoods only.

WATAUGA COUNTY

  • State Line Resource Station and Rural Distribution Center was created in response to the needs of those impacted by Hurricane Helene. We are located at ZRC in Zionville, NC/Trade, TN - (11878 US-421, Trade, TN, United States, Tennessee)

YANCEY COUNTY

  • Burnsville–West Yancey Volunteer Fire Department has a whole garage full of resources open late last night (9/30) people were dropping off fuel and propane. They also had fresh meals prepared there. The entire second floor of the fire department is set up to shelter people. First aid, water, food, cots, and clothes also available.
